BORDER
The decorative border is a generally cyclical, striped or repeated motif or decorative element used in architecture, ceramic decoration and clothing. It usually comes in the form of a narrow, elongated strip or strip that serves as a frame, edge, perimeter, parting, or edge, serving as a contrast to the design of the rest of the surface where it is placed.
